Al-Bukhari (3371)اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُعِيذُهُ بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
Allahumma inni u'idhuhu bika wa dhurriyyatahu minash-shaytanir-rajim.
O Allah, I seek Your protection for him and his offspring from Satan the accursed.
Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ used to perform tahnik (rubbing the palate of the newborn with a chewed date) and would make this supplication of protection. It is also recommended to call the adhan in the right ear of the newborn.
