Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim. Tabarakal-ladhi biyadihil-mulku wa Huwa 'ala kulli shay'in Qadir. Alladhi khalaqal-mawta wal-hayata li-yabluwakum ayyukum ahsanu 'amala. Wa Huwal-'Azizul-Ghafur. Alladhi khalaqa sab'a samawatin tibaqa. Ma tara fi khalqir-Rahmani min tafawut. Farji'il-basara hal tara min futur. (Sourate complète)
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. Who has created death and life that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving. Who has created the seven heavens one above another. You can see no fault in the creation of the Most Gracious. Then look again, can you see any rifts? (Full surah to be recited)
Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ would not sleep until he had recited Surah Al-Mulk. It intercedes for its reader until he is forgiven.
Tafsir
Surah Al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) recalls Allah's creative power, the test of life and death, and the perfection of His creation. The Prophet ﷺ never slept without reciting it. It intercedes for its reader in the grave and protects from punishment, making it an essential companion for sleep.
