Al-Isra (17:24)رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbir-hamhuma kama rabbayani saghira.
My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.

Tafsir
This verse immediately follows the divine command of kindness toward parents. It teaches the believer to lower the wing of humility before them out of mercy and to pray that Allah grants them His grace, in recognition of their devotion during childhood.
