اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ فُلَانَ بْنَ فُلَانٍ فِي ذِمَّتِكَ وَحَبْلِ جِوَارِكَ، فَقِهِ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْقَبْرِ وَعَذَابِ النَّارِ، وَأَنْتَ أَهْلُ الْوَفَاءِ وَالْحَقِّ. فَاغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْحَمْهُ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Allahumma inna fulana bna fulanin fi dhimmatika wa habli jiwarik, faqihi min fitnatil-qabri wa 'adhabin-nar, wa anta ahlul-wafa'i wal-haqq. Faghfir lahu warhamhu innaka antal-Ghafur ur-Rahim.
O Allah, so-and-so son of so-and-so is under Your protection and covenant of security. Protect him from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the Fire. You are the One Who fulfills promises and is worthy of truth. Forgive him and have mercy on him, indeed You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ taught this supplication where the name of the deceased is mentioned to ask for his protection from the trials of the grave.
