For someone departing on a journey
أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ
Astawdi'ullaha dinaka wa amanataka wa khawatima 'amalik.
I entrust to Allah your religion, your trust, and the last of your deeds.
Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ used to say this when bidding farewell to someone leaving on a journey.
أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَبِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ
Usika bitaqwallahi wa bikulli khayr.
I advise you to fear Allah and to do every good.
Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ also used to say this when bidding farewell to someone leaving on a journey.
زَوَّدَكَ اللَّهُ التَّقْوَى، وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَكَ، وَيَسَّرَ لَكَ الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُمَا كُنْتَ
Zawwadakallahut-taqwa, wa ghafara dhanbak, wa yassara lakal-khayra haythuma kunt.
May Allah provide you with piety, forgive your sins, and facilitate good for you wherever you may be.
Virtue
The Prophet ﷺ made this supplication for a man who said to him: O Messenger of Allah, I want to travel, give me provisions.
أَسْتَوْدِعُكَ اللَّهَ الَّذِي لَا تَضِيعُ وَدَائِعُهُ
Astawdi'ukallaha-lladhi la tadi'u wada'i'uh.
I entrust you to Allah, the One Whose trusts are never lost.
Virtue
Supplication of the one staying behind to entrust the traveler to Allah's protection.
