Sourate Al-Ikhlas (112:1-4)

Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad. Allahus-Samad. Lam yalid wa lam yulad. Wa lam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad.

Say: He is Allah, the One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born. Nor is there to Him any equivalent.

Virtue

To be recited once after every obligatory prayer, and three times after Maghrib and Fajr prayers.

Tafsir

Surah Al-Ikhlas equals one third of the Quran because it defines the very essence of monotheism. It affirms that Allah is One, Eternal, without offspring or origin, and absolutely without equal. Reciting it after prayer strengthens the believer's pure faith and recalls the fundamental purpose of worship.
