Seeking Forgiveness

For repentance

1
Al-Bukhari (6306)

A'udhu bika min sharri ma sana't.

O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I abide by Your covenant and promise as best I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor upon me and I acknowledge my sin. So forgive me, for none forgives sins except You.

Virtue

This is the master of seeking forgiveness (Sayyid al-Istighfar). Whoever says it in the morning with conviction and dies that day will enter Paradise. Likewise in the evening.

SubhanAllahi wa bi hamdih.

Glory and praise be to Allah.

Virtue

Whoever says this 100 times during the day, his sins will be erased even if they are as abundant as the foam of the sea.
